PRIDE Conference Prague 7 – 9 September

The conference aims to gather professionals who are using PRIDE as a tool to improve care for children in foster and adoptive families. PRIDE has been used for 25 years in 19 countries across the world.  Here you can get more informations about origin of PRIDE.

Conference in Prague will bring together people from many countries and will offer the possibility to share good practise, get inspiration on how to improve PRIDE implementation to different national systems of care for children in foster care or adoption.

Programme will consist of plenary presentations, workshops and panel discussion and will cover most of the PRIDE process. It will focus on topics as how to prepare PRIDE trainers and how to provide them with continuous support, what are the experiences with mutual assessment of prospective foster carers or adopters, using PRIDE in different care systems, inservice training for foster parents etc. We have invited experienced high quality speakers  for the conference, you can look for updated information in the Programme and speakers section where the information is most up to date.

Conference languages are English and Czech with simultaneous translation for plenary presentations. Please note that consecutive translation to Czech will be available for selected workshops.

Thanks to the programme EEA and Norway Grants there is no participation fee for the conference. Costs of the participation including coffee breaks, lunches and conference dinner on the first day are covered by the grant. Participants are responsible for their own travel costs and accommodation.

The conference takes place in Prague, it makes it easy to reach by train, plane or bus. Prague is a great place with many historical sites to visit, so consider your travel plans to enable you to see at least some of them!
